@OttawaMarathon Introduces #TeamAwesome for 2017
Tonight on Twitter, @OttawaMarathon hosted an online event to introduce their ambassadors for the 2017 race weekend, or as we are better known: #TeamAwesome. It was a great experience, they posed ten questions to the runners who all tweeted their responses. It was fast and furious but it was also really fun to get to know everyone a little and see the excitement already building for next year.
In only an hour the #runOTTchat hashtag reached number two in Canada when I looked just behind #AMAs and ahead of #GreyCup. An impressive feat for a relatively small group. You can learn more about the runners on the just launched #TeamAwesome page.
My answers and an embed of the entire #runOTTchat tweet storm below.
Q1 - What’s your name, where are you from and what race are you running?
I'm Harold and I am from NL but have been living in Ottawa since 1998. I'll be in for the 5K, 10K and 1/2 on race weekend. #runOTTchat
Q2 - Will this be your first time running Ottawa?
I ran in the 2016 race weekend, that was my first time and only my third race and my first time getting a finisher medal. #runOTTchat

Two moments... when I completed my first 5K program and finishing my first race five minutes under the time I expected. #runOTTchat
