Saucony Kinvara 8 Review
The Saucony Kinvara 8 continues a legacy of a cushioned light weight trainer that you wear on every run and carry over to race day. Durability isn't super great and after 400KM I found significant wear patterns in the high impact areas. The biggest problem I had with the eight version was sizing. The curve of the forefoot seems to rub and feel constricting when going true to size but and going half a size larger made the shoe feel too loose overall. The ProLock system also caused me an issue where my foot felt immobile and I lost the lack of natural flex of my foot resulting in some heel pain and I ended up bypassing it completely in the lacing. Still a good shoe and worth trying for the unique combination of low offset and responsive cushioning.
