Saucony Zealot ISO 3 Review

Saucony Zealot ISO 3 Review

The Zealot ISO 3 is Saucony's 4mm offset response to it's own 8mm Triumph and a softer more cushioned Kinvara like ride for when you need a bit more to carry you through the long days. Easily described as bigger sibling to the Kinvara it pairs very well. It includes ISOfit in a slightly different configuration with four fingers wrapping the mid foot and felt a little narrow or constrictive on the inside of the shoe.

The shoe is fairly wide and plushly cushioned but isn't without a sense of being responsive particularly in the heel. Through the forefoot there isn't as much of a snap as I had hoped but with time I've grown to enjoy the shoe for what it is as a light long run cushioned trainer. Possibly a very good choice for a marathon race if you are looking to the 3:30-4:00 hour time frame. Faster than that you may want to look at a firmer option like the Kinvara. Durability is a bit on the lower end of the scale with a lot of exposed foam maintaining it's relative lightness.

Score: 80/100
